Margaret River needs no introduction when it comes to world-class chardonnay. Vasse Felix's obsession with sparkling wine, or idée fixe, led to the creation of their dedicated sparkling label, and we couldn't be happier.

The vines for this 100% chardonnay are located in Karridale, in the south-west pocket of coastal Western Australia, just south of the Margaret River. Cool-climate Vasse Felix chardonnay fruit is picked, with only the first pressing used for fermentation, of which 23 % spends six months in French oak.

After 24 months on lees, a neat 5.0 g/L dosage is added before sealing under cork. The flavour profile is striking, with an almost characteristic fingerprint of the Margaret River pressed into its genetics; initial saline and lemon pith flavours entice the palate with an incredibly rich, creamy mouthfeel owed to the 70% proportion which undergoes malolactic fermentation.
